How We Got Started
Hey everyone, we're Dark Deeds, a metalcore band based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our lineup consists of Ben Prendergast, Allan Barth III, Shane Garski, and Kevin Giersch. We've been heavily influenced by bands like Kublai Khan TX, Varials, and Thrown.
Our journey began in 2019 when Allan and Shane started recording in their home studio. The first track we wrote together was "Found Underneath a Cold Knife." What started as a fun project quickly grew into something more serious as we realized the potential of our music and the enjoyment we got from creating it.
The Evolution of Our Music
Fast forward to 2023, we decided to take things up a notch. In May 2023, we began recording our album "Death Keeps." We wanted to make the recording process unique and memorable, so we hit the road in a 14ft camper, traveling around Wisconsin to write and record our music. This mobile studio experience was not only fun but also inspired us in ways we hadn't imagined.
Completing the Album
By November 2023, we had finished recording the album and sent it off to Jonathan Dolese for mixing and mastering. When we got the final mix and master back in February 2024, we were blown away. The sound was everything we had envisioned—rich, full, and powerful.
Upcoming Releases and Shows
We scheduled the release of our singles "Found Underneath a Cold Knife" on May 31, 2024, and "Leech" on June 1, 2024. Now, we're gearing up to start booking shows and can't wait to perform live for you all. Our full album will be available on all platforms by late summer 2024.
